Tennis Center
The Haig Point Tennis Center includes six Har-Tru courts, two of which are lighted for evening play. Various clinics and private lessons are available for both beginners and advanced players. Private instruction is offered by our head Professional, Ron Gwyn.
Haig Point's Marshside Mamas
2011 SC Senior State Tennis Champions

Two ladies USTA tennis teams from the Haig Point Club had outstanding results at the recent South Carolina State Senior championships.The 3.0 Marshside Mamas won their second state title as a team. The Mamas captained by Linda Blanchette, easily defeated the Charleston team in the title match. The team won all 5 of its matches throughout the tournament. Clinics & Weekly Play
Adult Advanced Clinics | A fun clinic and round robin designed for players 3.0 level and above to improve their doubles play.
Back to Basics | This program is a perfect refresher course for the player who has not played in a while or for someone who has never played before.
Adult Intermediate Drills | This doubles clinic is designed to focus on improving the skills for players level 3.0 and below.
Complimentary Round Robins | This fun tournament will pair players of all levels against each other. In this format you will play with different players against different opponents each round. You do not need a partner to register.
Backhands and Beer | A new men's program called "Backhands and Beer" is held every Wednesday afternoon at 3pm. You don't have to register in advance. If you would like to participate, simply show up at Court 1 at 3:00pm and doubles teams will be arranged based on who shows up. Everyone is asked to bring a couple of beers to go into the community cooler.

Croquet
Haig Point has a professionally manicured, championship level Croquet field. The nearby Clock Tower is fully equipped with wickets, mallets and balls for a fun afternoon of play with friends and family.
Haig Point is a member of the Coastal Croquet Club and hosts their annual Croquet Day each fall, which is their most attended event.

Ron Gwyn has been the Director of Tennis at the Haig Point Club since 1996. Prior to that, Ron served as the Operations Manager at Port Royal Racquet Club and the Head Professional at the Shipyard Racquet Club.
In 2006, Ron was the recipient of the United States Tennis Professional Association’s Tennis Professional of the Year for the South Carolina chapter.
He has written articles for such publications as Tennis Magazine and Tennispro Magazine and is a national tester for the United States Professional Tennis Association and the United States Racquet Stringers Association.
